The ANC Veterans League (VL) met yesterday, 29th November, on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. It reiterated the call for the release of detainees and political prisoners in Palestine, including Marwan Barghouti, the Nelson Mandela of Palestine.

On 20 October, on Ntate Dr Cholo’s 100th birthday, the President of ANC Cde Cyril Ramaphosa conferred the highest honour to Ntate Dr Cholo at his home in Soshanguve in the presence of his beloved family and ANC comrades from his branch.

Yesterday, the President of South Africa conferred the Isithwalandwe/Seaparankwe award to Ntate Cholo on his 100th birthday at his home in Soshanguve. On Saturday, 25 October 2025, Tshwane University of Technology will be celebrating Ntate Cholo’s 100th birthday and acknowledging his selfless contributions to the struggle

The ANC Veterans’ League welcomes the announcement by President Ramaphosa to establish a comprehensive commission of inquiry led by Acting Deputy Chief Justice Mbuyiseli Mdlanga to investigate the infiltration of law enforcement, intelligence and associated institutions within the criminal justice system by criminal syndicates.
